Hi Guys,
Well, I must say I think that the Max 4 is the best! I also have a hustler I mean I Love the hustler too but I love the Max 4 a inch more! why? Because it is faster and it handles tougher mud! I have the Greatest dad! And his name is Sam. And he also comes and sees this web site every day. so this is actually my first time posting a message! So tell me what you think????? what is your favorite????
TELL ME!!!

Hello Samantha and Welcome to the Rout 6x6 ..
I to am a new comer here and so far I love this site...
I have an ARGO BIGFOOT becouse of my low vision
I was going to get a MAX but it had to short of a front end... so ARGO is my first 6x6 and so far I love it...
yesterday was my first day getting into so really heave stuff, Well actually light stuff, it will get heavyer later...
My Daughter and I went out in the bigfoot and of if I can see water I have to go get it or in to it.. I was not sure if this thing really flooted and I went down the side of the road and found this flooded area from the run off and I had to go in my daughter thought I was nuts but bam I went in slow at first and much to my surprise I was going right along and all of a sudden there was no footing and We we just bobbing up and down like a bobber felt weard I thought I was sitting on jello or something... it was so cool... after that I started plowing down trees and going over rocks and going every where I could aim this 6x6... I'm quite happy with it so far and I plan on picking up a couple more 6x6s
for my family one for my daughter and one for the wife... of course they will not be new though...
Well that is all I have to say for now ... But welcome to the ROUTE 6X6.

All the trails around here are under water. I went out for the 1st time in water and i know what you mean. you feel like a bobber. It was awesome. We were traveling through the woods at night on the trails floating. You wont see any 4 wheelers out there thats for sure. also went through some pretty deep mud. no problem

I find the most trouble I have been haveing with my ARGO BIGFOOT going trough mud is the rutts caused from TRUCKS,JEEPS,ETC. Trying to get passed this with out getting highcentered is like a rollercoaster ride...
The other hard times is water wiht clay under neath it almost impossable to get acrossed.get stuck everytime. and here im Sidney Maine the bogs are all I have to ride on...
Has anyone ever capside an ARGO OR MAX?
I went into the Stream and it felt like I was going over I didn't dare to move eather side it wanted to capside so I put my spaces back on for more stubility on flooting it seems to work better and more stable...
How low does you 6x6's sit in the water? My front on the BIGFOOT is so low it scares me. where my vents are I'm affraid water will gush in through the brake vent or exhaust vent..Has any one made any modifications to change this.?
I see pic of 2-3 people in these mechines and flooting like a boat and moving across large bodys of waterwith no problem but again I go in and it seems to want to tip right over... anyone else have this problem?

Lilchief -
I've never operated a Bigfoot, but I have taken my Vanguard2 into the water. Never felt like I was going to roll over. However, for the first few times, as soon as the tires were off the bottom I'd stop and let everything settle down, then shift me and/or my passenger until I was satisfied with the trim (we were floating level side-to-side). Then off we'd go. The only time I was concerned about the vents was coming down a boat launch ramp - so I backed it. Remember, though, that AATVs aren't boats. No rough water, and in my mind that also means not around boat wakes. And wear your life jacket.

DougMax. Thanks for the feedback on floating in water...My daughter and I went in to the Streep yesterday, We were haveing a ball, going up streem i had to use quite a bit of throttle but it worked and was fun. The curent pushed like crazy but we beet it and went and sat in the water beside a fallin tree so as not to sucked down with the current, While we were sitting there we Watched a Beaver swim right passed the front of my BIGFOOT so close that I could actually see it.. It was amazing I have never seen a live Beaver before not with my vision... Thanks for the tips and now I will go and scare people who don't think these things float...

max vs hustler... I bought an old max last summer, too far gone to fix cracked tub rotten tires etc. then I bought another max off ebay and built a running machine and had tons of fun but the max just looked like builder bobs construction toy, like riding in a mechanical frog, then a few monthes ago I saw a lime green image off in the distance my wife thought I was seeing things but we went to explore and it was an old 6x6 hustler out in the weeds by an old farmhouse , the front end has a corvette look and the back looks like cadillac tailfins and I had to have, the guy at the house said he would accept any reasonable offer and $100.00 later it was mine ! this thing is definitly worth fixing up and I am disecting both max units on ebay to pay for the fix, you dont need to take off the top just to get at the battery the front seat hinges open, the body is way stronger than a max body, the control sticks are bent to the drivers side so the front passenger has more room and seats for two more in the back, one large disk brake instead of two brake shoes down low where grease gets on them, bilge pump drains out bu the drivers side so you can see when its done pumping, this thing is too cool !!!
