i owned a 1975 play cat 2 passenger 399 kohler motor, these machines are moderately reliable>>>kind of kind of not, they work well in marshes and a variety of terrain,as long as you have good clutch plates.....these clutch plates are external and are affected by weather....water ice snow they will slip, they are also a real bit?! to work on,the tranny is a 2 way apex type forward and reverse,do knot engage unless the motor is at low idle or you will sheer the roll pin in the tranny, you will go no where,,,as of 5 years ago, raidtrac was still manufacturing parts for this machine, yes they bought out playcat,,these are a 50/50 machine,,50 percent you mite make it to your destination...50 you mite not...best thing you can do is to put a briggs 12 h.p. on it not much room for any other motor design becuse of the handlebars, parts are really expensive for these machines, and are high maintenance also, not to be smart or any thing but buy a max or argo...youll have alot less headaches,my playcat currently resides in the local junkyard of dreams outside of town,it still looks good to this day,and it still doesnt run for crap....good luck....also to my knowledge these machines do not float to good

I have a Raidtrac 618, built in 1979. It's a good runner, but am seeking any Literature I can get.
The engine is a Techumpsa but what H.P. Have called Mark Fyhn Enterprises for info but have not received a call back yet. (He sells new Raidtrac in Canada). Thanks...
