I just got a AMF off the trailer, very hard to move
with 7 flat tires, anyone know about them? Looks to be built very well with great attention to details, I love the pop-up headlight. Did you guys know it has the engine in back boad section and drives all 8 tires through a joint between the bodies, the axles go all the way through the bodies. The machine goes not skidd steer, it has solid live axles, it steers
by bending the body sections and would drive like a snake,, Really cool. When you go over a hill the bodies would bend to follow the ground. Looks to be almost unstopable,

Any of you have any details or photos of one, ever drove or seen one. Really looking forward to fixing it up. Jeff

You might want to check out Stacey David's site for his show gearz. He did a build up on a Sur trek.

Jerry that machine that Mr David screwed up has been sold to a guy who has sent it out for a proper restoration, that Stacey guy sure did a job on it.

Is an old AMF that good to warrant a restoration?

Bryan Sometimes it is a labor of love, sure AMF's are old but they were a good design and will really go offroad, I hope you get the chance to drive one some day.

It is really a shame that AMF, HUSTLER and Attex all wen tout of business as the last of all of these were really great machines. Time is starting to take the toll however as many of these fine machines are falling in to the hands of those who really do not realize what they have.

Has anyone else got a AMF

Brad I have done very little, really nothing, as it has been so cold here, Found some guy on another site who said he had parts, tried and tried to get these parts, just more reasons why he was too, this or too that, to get me the parts. Then no contact anymore. I guess many people on the internet are full of shit, have no life, so get on the web and just talk. Well anyway I was lucky not to loose any thing except time and excitement. Still looking for AMF parts, if you got any? really got any! Ha Ha Jeff Bar

I have now repaired my trans, seems to work good, all new gears, bearings and seals. The trans is back in and hope to be driving it soon. But now I am think about replacing the JLO two cycle with a 4 cycle Vanguard or Honda Any ideas guys? Jeff Bar
