a friend of mine just found a praire bobcat that has been in storage for 17 years and the only thing wrong with it is tires and a busted axle,

can any one tell me how to find out the year it was built and if there is anywere to get parts for it?
it is in awsome shape, it has original flawless seats and barely any scratchs on the paint etc it was originally used for cruising around the acreage, it is definatly an awsome find.
also does anybody know roughly what these things are worth?

thanks in advance.

I bought mine for $500 canadian (but it was pretty hurting). The parts seems to be generic - ie. the axles are simply 1 inch solid pipes. The chains are ANSI-50. I'm not sure about the clutches or the brakes.. but those can be repaired at any shop that handles that kind of thing. Everything else seems to be pretty easy to find at your local farm shop. For info on my PBC take a look at this link

I bought mine for $ 2000 canadian and was given another one by the father inlaw, one has a fourstroke engine and the other has a 2 stroke engine. they were both running fine ti'll about a week ago when I snapped the drive shaft in one then the next day i took my other one out and snapped the tranny gear shaft.I just wanted to say i have no idea how much they are worth but they are fun as hell. I was also wondering if anybody had parts for sale or have any idea of what i should do about my drivetrain problems or how i should fix or upgrade to something else. slave lake alberta canada 780-849-5466.
