ive got a 87 max2 im putting together it was a army surplus item i got from a guy who got it in maryland from a auction do these things have a stainless frame and axles or is this uncommon it has solid axles too thanks barry

as army serplus it is and would be uncommon, the maxII is common enoph and it's verry good to have solid axels, but you would need to call recreatives for info on army serpluss vehicles metalergy, wether the solid axels tern out to be stainless steal or mayby chrome molly or something will require that phone call.

found out the story of my max2 it was a 1 out of 5 built for mine detection for the army its a very rare machine that has stainless frame and hardware for low magnetism i got it off ebay for $150 i just put a 16 horse vangaurd and rebuilt t20 and numerous other new parts i was told it was a very expensive item to build and to hold on to it i feel pretty lucky thanks barry
