I just got a MAX two seater with a JLO ROCKWELL 2 stroke twin, 5 bolt rims (three bolts are on the axles--is that solid or hollow?)Everything looks ok and I hope to it running soon. By the way ,there are no serial numbers on the body or the motor and I am ordering the manuals from Richard on the Walbro carb and the JLO. Any Info would be very helpful in getting MAX up to shape. Thank You

Derek,

The number on the motor may be below the carb, on a plate rivited to the crankcase. I don't know how the motor is situated in a Max, but the plate is difficult to see on the JLO twin in my snowmobile.

derek , it's probly 1971-1973 because of the 3 bolt axels, they are hollow and have adapters to the 5 bolt pateren that might be factory, and then again might be home brew,
what size chain dose your max have?
if # 40 you may have one old enoph for the body to be made from A.B.S.plastic

derek what type of switch did you get, you cannot use an automotive switch,
use the cheep plastic ones for lawn tractors, available at power equipment shops, cost like $5.00, they have a ground wire for engine in off selection, a batery to lights conection at lights selection, no conections at run selection, and starter and batery conection at start selection.
your engine has its own power to runn and only needs to be grounded to shut it down or to starter only to start it, NO IGNITION CONECTION
