looking at buying a max 2 what should i look for? cant seem to see any of the vital parts chains sprokets bearings without taking the body off how do i tell what kind of shape they are in? is this a good machine or is this a old relic that is going to give me nothing but problems

all you have to do lift the seat out of the max
then you can see the sprocket and chain ect inside
it sound like a good old max
it should have the original 16 oh 160 tecumseh
engine please send me a picture of it
then i can help you more

and that could also have the original balloon tires on it
also do a compelte inspection of it
and look for wear or tear and if anythings lose
and make sure the t20 trans sift good tight
inside and out

Check the bearings by wiggling the wheels and tires, if
you can feel movement, the bearings need relaced.
Also if you can jack up on side of the machine or even
get one tire off the ground rotate it and see how loose
the chain is. Grab the idler sprockets and check for
play.
