I love the amhips and used to have an Argo.

Is there any way to speed them up? KITS?

I am close to getting one but see the speed has not really increased. 20 MPH on land is just to slow.

Any help would be great!!

The best way to go fast with a new amphib is to get the Max IV 25hp. It runs approximately 35mph and that's about as fast as any company is going to allow a skid steer to go. It has plenty of power to turn the 26x12x12 tires through thick mud and the 10" of ground clearance will take it through places even the Max II won't go. Water speed is also nearly double that of other amphibs. It passes them like they are sitting still (and they almost are) at about 6-7mph. It's the best way to roll on six wheels.

Isnt there some sort of speed clutch for the Max IIs? I wouldnt mind going faster in my II for long trips up and down backroads.

bill you could ask ri for an older style jack shaft, they had diferent sproket size and it was something like 3 teth diference this would give you some speed,
also someone recently wrot something about a cluch and secondary pully "rev kit"
this replaces springs with tighter ones wich force higher rev to engagement and some other results im a little vage on,
and there are mod parts for brigs and kholer engines.
check other postes from today, i wrote one with 2 web sites for such engine parts, this is probly the best way to get more speed over all,
i love the speed of my 2 stroke but you have a 4 stroke and lets face it 2's are on the way out,
O.E.M. brigs and kholer industreal engins are no good over limited RPM of 4000 or less,
shit that aint a vehicle engin!
a suped up brigs can run better than 6000 RPM.
with a rev kit from www.6ooraceing.com
and thats just like a 2 stroke!
at speeds like you get at thous RPM's you need loops on floorboard for your toes of your shoues.
loops alow you to push on something to keep your back into the seatback and
pull up on yer feet and up on laterels to stay in.
after all a little bump at speed would otherwise remove you from the driveing seat and all posable ability to controle the vehicle at worst posable moment, i have used this loop mod to remain in controle durring the roughest bumpy high speed misadventures, and alwase regret any time i forgot to put feet into loops.
these days my dang shoues dont fit the loops, so i need to re-make them to sute my new shoes and boots, ps. dont forget to make them so you can remove your feet very easy, i just tiped my toes down and they came right out, my loops wer made from seat belts.
ooh and a roll bar is a must if you are even concidering a seatbelt in your machine.
i havent and don't
