I found another web site for tons of information on Amphibious ATVs. The US patent office website has all the patents available to look at. They are searchable by keyword back to 1976 and searchable by patent number to 1790. Take a look.

You may want to look at patents 3,180,305 and 3,623,565.

Let me know what other inresting things you can find. Anybody know the patent # for the T-20 ?
My Wedge clutch is 3,127,969 and my Alsport Tracker clutch is 3,386,545.
