Looking to buy a argo 8x8 and found one that has a 16hp tecumseh engine in it. Was wondering about what years this would be and if there would be anything I would want to look out for in these years. Any information would be great. Thanks ghcoe.

George

The 16 Tec engine models are 25 years old, still can be made to work but they have limits. We used to rebuild those units back to new condition. However: Today the engine may be best replaced. There is much to talk about, please call me and I will try to talk you through the many details about those units.

They were the first ARGO'S with 4 cycle engines, lots of left over parts from the two cycle days.

Thanks
Richard Clark

Gentlemen: I agree. There is no reason to put dulies on an Avenger. I put two on the front anyway. Here are 3 pictures. One interesting note: I was in the water for about 1/2 an hour with the plugs out and when I drove up the boat ramp, less water came out than I expected. Who knows.....
