Is this true? Why would they offer an 8x8 Frontier AND an 8x8 Avenger? What differances are thier between them? Do they handle and perform differently? |

Maybe it's a reaplacement for the response? Looks like 22" runamuks on it. Allows ODG to have a common body style look with a lower priced unit. But they don't have it on their site, so maybe it's a photoshoped image. |

That's a negative on the photoshop. The 8x8 Frontier will be available in September. It is the replacement for the Response. |

It's one of two new models for 2008. The Frontier 8x8 will replace the Response and another new addition will be an entry level 6x6, completely eliminating the older body style Argo. The Frontier 8x8 has the 24" Argo tires. Some people have already used these tires on their Avenger and were very happy with the performace. This vehicle appears to be made completely from existing parts, but I think it will fill a good place in the market. A good price tag will sell it.
The Frontier 8x8 appears to use the Avenger lower body, Frontier 6x6 upper body uncut (six wheeled version is "trimmed"), and it will probably use the 23hp Briggs engine. I don't know how much performance difference there will be between the Frontier and Avenger 8x8s.
There will be more info in the middle of August. |

The old transmission probally will be phased out and not used anymore also. |
