Just thought I'd past this along for what it's worth. After taking my tree stand down at the the end of deer season, I tossed my safty belt into the rear floor of my Bigfoot, drove back to the cabin , loaded the Bigfoot on the trailer and went home. When I started the BF and tried to back it off the trailer, I noticed a slight resistance but not much, so I gave it a little more gas And it moved backwards with a painful snap. It came off the trailer but now wanted to turn to the right. Oh crap I thought, what have I done? After removing both floor boards, I discovered that probably during the later part of my bouncing back to the cabin and loading the BF on to the trailer,a piece of my safety belt worked it's way through the small gap between the floor board and the body and was then pulled under to it's death by the right rear chain/sprocket. The safty belt has several large metal buckles, causing my right rear chain to break as well as leaving a mess of twisted nylon webbing to clean out of the right center sprocket/chain. The broken chain was the only real damage that I noticed at the time. I bought a new chain at a local supplier and instaled it without a problem. I do notice now that there is a very slight "bump" as I drive on hard pavement, not noticable on the turf. Now that the weather is getting warmer, I'll jack the BF up, pull the wheels and look real close at my axles, as I'm afraid I might have slightly bent one. The moral of this long winded story: 1) I will always check the inside as well as the out of the BF before I start up. 2) All small items go into a box with a lid that I can secure. In two years of ownership of my BF his is the only problem I have ever had and it was 100% completely my own fault. |

The SEATBELTS on a MaxIV are long enough to get wrapped in the sprockets. Be careful with those as well. |

I think it's Ontario drive and gear's fault. They shouldn't sell the thing with that gap between the floor pans. I've thought about building a drawer in a box to fill the space between the gas tank and the floor |

I have a tow strap that became free and slid down into my machine in similar fashion. It's no fun picking all that shreded material out.

my max ate my seat belt as I rocketed down a hill, it stopped me then snapped the belt,stupid belt! No damage though other than the belt. |

my son lost his bootlace to evil bigfoot(he now keeps his boots tied).i have discovered that duct tape makes a pretty good seal for those gaps.thanks roger.rubbermade also has a container that fits quite nicely in the rear compartment.i also cut a piece of plywood to help cover the "back seats" to hold the cooler.i was going to hinge it but havent got a big enough hinge yet,so right now it's a little short.i'll find out this weekend how well it'll work. |

i have sean a bigfoot try to eat some garening equipment while we were clearing the trail at humphrey one april,
and my max II has eaten plenty of strainge things,
like i lost a whole 12v air compressor with a 12 foot power cord!
several soada cans,a box of staples,and i alwas find lbs and lbs of leaves n sticks, |

Some freinds of ours have a dog(named Max) who likes to ride with them. One day they looked down and Max was acting very strange and his eyes were bugging out. You guessed it! His leash had found its way down to the chains. By some miracle Max was fine
I found a perfectly good ratchet strap on the trail one day and casually tossed it into the back of my Max11. Two horrible sounds followed: my chains devouring that strap and me uttering profanities as I dug out the remains. I now know to secure anything with loose ends! |

Funny that has never happened in my Attex!! Wrap around floor pans sure are nice, wonder why they're no longer used? |
