I have an Amphicat too with the Sachs 277. I went to a local motorcylcle/snowmobile salvage yard and got a used Mikuni and adapter flange (the rubber thing). Ran me about $35. I restored the machine and the old Walbro kept leaking out of a couple holes in the side so I said F it. You might need to use a vacuum powered fuel pump since the modern Mikuni won't have one.

My Cat runs about perfectly now. And it's a modern carb so you can easily gets parts, jets, etc for it.
