I thought it might be easier to just make rims that fit the 3 bolt pattern & use new tires. This way dry rot is eliminated. Tubes can be used & the tire can be patched.

I think that is great!!! I have been wondering about that. If you can find the old molds, I have contacts with a tire company. Matt

you have contact with a tire company? I wonder if they use a bag o matic press? I have been searching for the original molds but it's not necessary if I can get specs because I can cast and machine new molds anyway. The trick is to find a compatible tire press and determine the construction of the tire. Baloon tires are VERY simple to mold, I am not sure why they were discontinued? Perhaps they were too delicate or when atv's fell out of favor the tires were not feasable to produce. Anyway sooner or later I WILL make this happen. Anyonw with info PLEASE contact me!

Attex, do you have a metal former for the rim's? Where are you from? I am near Elkhart IN the RV capital of the world. If anything needs to be made this is the place to be. Matt

No I do not, I was going to re-use old rims at first. I am in Florida and nobody seems to make anything here! It looks like there aren't even 6 x 6 's in this area!!
