Just got a '69 or '70 Scrambler. Planning the resto job. Pulled the wheels and discovered that most of the shear pins have been replaced with loose-fitting nut/bolts. The few remaining have such a layer of rust I can't tell if they are roll pins or what. Anyone know the size, and perhaps a source? Also looking for any information anyone might have available to e-mail or whatever, like manuals, parts lists, etc. I downloaded everything from Jim Washburne's site, but the manual is VERY hard to read.

Thanks for any assistance. See a pic at my profile. E-mail me if you like at SWebb3@elp.rr.com

I have a Scrambler Gotcha, approx 1975; this is the 4 wheel version, w/ stick steering as opposed to a steering wheel. It has been pieced together over the years but I am rebuilding it piece by piece. Any info on the engine wiring would be helpfull.
Thanks

Hello everyone
I just got a Gotcha and Im about to try and get it running. Its going to need alot of work. Does anyone have a Gotcha service manual? The braking and electrical systems are a bit confusing for me. Would the systems be similar to the Scrambler 6x6 models? There seems to be more available expertise with the 6 wheelers!
Thankyou in advance
T Edwards

i just finsihed restoring my Scrambler Gotcha. It was wrecked on its first run because i did not fully bleed the steering line. It is running fine now. It sometimes bottoms out in deep snow from our recent 2 foot snow storm. i have the original manual for Gotcha models 4000 and 5000. I can scan it and email it to any one who needs it. Still trying to find the right head lights to put on it.
