When I picked up my Max IV and got home, the added on electric fuel pump was leaking. I removed it and a fuel flow valve and replaced the mechanical fuel pump that wasn't working. Shouldn't this be enough and no electric pump necessary? Also, is there suppose to be an electric fuel shut off valve in-line with this?/BBC

William I remember talking to you about that pump on the phone. I looked in my Magnum engine repair manual for info on the mechanical pump. Kohler engines in the Maxs today use a vacuum pump. Since you've replaced that pump on your engine, you'll be all set. You will want an inline fuel filter to keep the dirt out. A manual shut off valve is usually in the line in case you need to disconnect the line.

Thanks Brandon. I'm also hoping the engine won't be running so rich now with the proper fuel flow to the carb./Bob
