Hello everyone,

I'm new to this board as I just inherited a 1995 Argo Vanguard. I do not have the owners’ manual on me and I would like to buy a new battery for it before I head up north, so I was wondering what type of battery I need to purchase. Thanks

everyone has there favorets but if theres a wallmart near you they have a nice sized
(cold amps raiting)lawn tractor batteries. thats your batt,
some prefer insted to get marine deep cycle batteries but they also must be used in that fashion from time to time so as not to reduce there life, might be a good choice though if you have and use a big winch,(that would be a fairly deep cycle huh.)
and to keep batterys in tip top shape i recomend a baterie minder with micro pulls capeability wich when your batteries compleatly charged this pulls mode keeps the plates clean and free from the sulfyd build up non use of batteri normaly causes wich limits power and then kills bateries when not in use. you can find em at northern tools for about $49.00
i use mine on my aatv and also too keep my lead acid camera batteries fresh, it can do the pulls thing to 4 batteris at one time!

My 98 argo uses the same battery as some older Honda cars, a little bigger than the average lawn battery. Can't remember the group size right now.
