Argo at speed into ditch concealed in long grass =front off-side axle bent. Anyone got any suggestions of how to bend it or mend it?

I understand you can’t get front axles for this age of machine any more. Anyone got one for sale second-hand (shipping to U.K. not a problem) ['73 Argo 8x8 with Kohler 399cc 2stroke twin –Oxford, UK]

IF NESSESARY WE CAN REMOVE A BENT AXEL AND DROP IT OF AT LOCAL MACHINE SHOP FOR AN ESTEMATE, AND THEN GET NEW ONES MADE FROM SCRACH CHEEPER THAN FROM FACTORY,ALSO THE MACHINE SHOPS MIGHT PLACE A BENT AXEL IN LATH OR ON HYDRALIC PRESS AND STRAITEN IT FOR RESONABLE PRICE,
YOUR AXEL MIGHT BE FIXED IN THE MACHINE AS WELL.
THE PROSSES HAS APEARED IN THRERDS LONG AGO BUT BASICLY YOU HAVE IT SET UP WITH LOWEST POINT AND A FLOORJACK UNDER IT , SOMETHING STRONG UNDER THE JACK WITH CHAIN UNDERTHAT THAT ALSO GO'S AROUND AXEL, WHEN YOU OPERATE THE JACK IT PUSHES AXEL UP
WHILE CHAIN HOLDS IT DOWN, YOU HAVE TO BEND IT A LITTLE MORE UP THAN YOU MIGHT THINK TO ALOW FOR FLEX IN THE STEAL BUT WHEN YOU RELEASE THE JACK YOU MIGH HAVE IT STRAITEND, THIS PROSSES IS A LERND TECHNIQUE SO IT CAN TAKE A FEW SHOTS AT IT.
IT IS FOR THOUGHS WHO MUST GO RIDEING RIGHT NOW.
ANYONE WITH THE TIME TO REPAIR IT CORECTLY SHOULD REMOVE AXEL AND SEAK HELP FROM SOMEONE WITH A PRESS OR FABRICATION SHOP, MAYBE ASK FOR A PRICE ON MULTIPLE COPYS WHILE YOUR AT IT,

When I go to my local steel supplier and buy some 1" dia. rod to make Argo axles, do I need to know what type of steel is correct for the application?? I will be cutting and drilling them myself, but I don't want to find out later that I bought soft steel that bends too easy.

double check your axel width, if yours is only 1" as in your post than chrom molly, the stuff hydralic pistons are made from, it is cosly and dificult to work, you probly should have the machine shop compleat the axels for you if you go with the chrome molly. 1 1/4 axels they will know what you should use.
