My terra tiger came with a running Rockwell JLO engine. It has no electric or recoil start, it has a round spool with a notch in so you have to start it like an old boat motor. The tag on it says typ - L252L. Are these the only motor The terra tiger came with? Does anybody know how much horsepower this motor makes and if I can put recoil start on it?

Terra Tigers came with either the JLO 252 (TT-10) or the JLO 295 (TT-18). You can find JLO starters, both electric and recoil on ebay all the time for under $20 recoil and around $50 electric. I have several different JLO engines in the garage and they all use the same electric starter.
