Im in SE Texas, and I found an Argo 8x8 and it has 208 hours on it. It runs the lights and the winch still work. it has 6 of the original tires on it, 2 are a little different than the other ones. It comes with a drive on trailer with ramps that fold up vertical. Im thinking it may be worth around 2500.00? The owner thinks 3500.00 or more? I can get a nice 2000 4 wheeler in 4wd for around 2500.00. However, they dont float as well. Lemme know something.

Greg, I had my ARGO MAGNUM down to the plant for repairs last month and I got it quoted for what it would be worth and when the work was done on it, that being bearings throughout, a couple new chains, tranny service, and a general check over I was told that it was worth $6500-$7000. During hunting season they said it could be as high as $8200. That is Canadian so I don't know what that is US but im sure you can do the conversion. My ARGO has a winch also, working lights, engine runs strong, tires are getting pretty bald but it floats fine, and runs smooth- has 685 hours on the clock now. Its around an 85-88, but not exactly sure what year. Hope that gives you an idea but I think if you can get it cheaper, its better as long as everything works and it runs well.

Hey David, I am curious as to what the cost was to have this done and how you went about it. I may have a opportunity to pivk up a '97 Response, but would want some work done on it as it lacks an hour meter and owner has no idea. The chains look good, it runs well, but I would then take the advantage of it being there to have some of the accessories I want added to it.
Thanks
Len
p.s. I am in the Toronto area

Well, I'm still out here.Getting ready to go to the swamps moose hunting. I'm taking a neighbor who lost his leg in a head-on with a drunk. He can drive my Hydro quite well just using his hands.
I also would like to tell everyone about Alaska's laws concerning handicapped hunters. Maybe it will give you a boost to pressure your politicians.
Alaska has a law that allows handicapped hunters to shoot from vehicles. They can also carry loaded guns in vehicles. We have no "shooting hours". We can shoot at midnight as long as we don't use a light. I know of moose being shot in the moonlight. We can also shoot moose for the disabled on a "proxy" tag.
You folks need to squeeze those politicans hard enough to start making rules to help the disabled. I'll help any way I can.I'll be shooting a video of my handicapped friend on his hunt. HuntN.Biz.com will be showing it on the "Sportsman Channel" this fall.
I have a pic of my old Hydro-Traxx on my web site if you want to see it.
