Dave,

Good question. i would assume yes but everyone I've talked to with an old one doesn't have one. I know my Attex has no vin number which is required for a title in Maryland so I'ts hard to say.

It all depends on the state your in. Mine came with a title, I think from Missouri but here in NY they don't use them.

A new AATV can get a title. It comes with a certificate of ownership from the factory. If you want the title, you have to pay tax and register it. You already have proof of ownership so I see a title as a complete waste of money on a vehicle that can't be licensed for road use.

We bought a used Argo 8x8. We wanted to register it so that we could use it to go fishing. In order to do that we had to get it titled. It took about 3 months to get all of the paper work done and we even had to get a VIN issued from the state. We had to have that VIN stamped on a plate and mounted onto the ARGO. We then had to go to the Police station to have them verify the VIN. That took three weeks because the guy did not do the paper work right. Anyway for all of this work we can now legally drive the Argo on the right-of-way but not on the road of most roads in Indiana. The catch to all of this is some countys can over rule state law. So we have to be real careful where we ride. So far we have not gotten stopped. We do put a slow moving vehicle sign on the back. I think that helps. In order to go in public water we had to have a boat sticker. The Argo is considered a watercraft.

Scott
