i have an 86 argo 6wheel techumseh,i cant seem to free the driven clutch from the shaft.is there a secret to this?

Keith: The bolt on the end comes off and then the clutch comes off. I know this is very easy for me to say, and much harder to do in person.....the first time. Mine slides right off now that I have taken it off the first time. Try some penetrating oil and let it soak for awhile. As a last resort you may try heating the shaft and coller. Do this only if there is NO other way. Don't forget to put some molly lube on the shaft when you put it back together. Good luck

I have a Argo Vanguard and need to replace the driven clutch. What is the difference between a 9" and 10", will they interchange? How they effect
the gearing overall? Thanks

Steve a 10" clutch would give you more power but less top speed Jack

Steve I put a 8" clutch on one of my old Argo 8x8 it gave about a 6mph increase in top speed
