I have an argo 8x8 that needs a new battery. I was thinking of putting it in the back of the machine instead of in the engine compartment.I am putting in a rear bench seat so I was going to put it under there. My reasoning is that one it should improve the balance of the machine, two it will give me more room in the engine compartment and three for the same price as the stock Argo battery I can buy a much bigger automotive battery with more capacity. Any comments would be welcome.

john,
If you have an alternator kit it should be fine. If not your charging system on the briggs will not be suffice to keep that big battery charged if you are using alot of lights, winch, etc. the charging systems can barely keep the stock battery charged.

The machine is the Argo Conquest so the engine is the 20hp Kawasaki.
