I have an old rollbar from a previous ARGO I/C

I want to put it on my MAGNUM 8x8 but the problem is that when you go through the bush, it gets caught on trees and everything else. The new Conquest 6x6 ARGOs have a rollbar on them that is narrower than the body. Does anyone have experiance with these and are they better in the bush. Does anyone have the width, height etc.

Please e-mail any info to me or post it here.

Thanks (for an 8x8 Magnum ARGO

HELP! I really need specs on the rollbar that is on the new 6x6 Conquest/Bigfoot ARGO.

I only need the height, width at the bottom, the top width, and where it mounts onto the body. The rollbar on the conquest has supports that go to the back of the body, I don't really need that dimention, but how strong the rollbar has to be to stop the roll. WIll It keep you fairly safe in a roll if you have seatbelts?

The last thing is getting through the bush. What is the absolute minimum height to still work?

Any help is appreciated.

David,
Myself and others I ride with all have some sort of roll system, Mine is just like the argo one but it bolts in 4 places to the rub rail. the guys I ride with all have full 6 point cages that fit over their top and windshield and they have never really been much of a problem. they for the most part just push all the limbs and brush out of the way. I do remember one time though were matt435 caught a big vine with his cage and for some reason it came down with a big dead elm tree, it didn't land on him but it scared the shit out of all of us, for a second and then it was pretty funny, and our buddy ron even got it on video. when you ride with matt it is always wise to have a video camera with attatched first aid kit...ain't that right matt!?!.

Do you have the dimentions for the rollbar that the new conquest 6x6 has? The problem with mine is that when I am on trails and the ARGO is tipped to one side and I go by a large tree, the top of the rollbar always snaggs the tree and I can't get through. I wan't to bend the rollbar or cut a section out of the middle so that it looks better, and not as wide. This way, I can get through trails easier. I have never really felt as though I needed the rollbar because I wasn't driving the ARGO off the property. We have a long drivway at the cottage and at first, i just drove up and down it. We soon built a small crap trail off the drivway that goes down the the shore so I started going on it. Now I finally go anywhere I wan't with the ARGO. I am only 17 but have been around an ARGO I think all my life. the details past when we got the MAGNUM are still not there, but I wouldn't trade it for anything.

The reason for the rollbar is that I will soon be taking the ARGO to some different areas around the cottage where I will trailor it and go into unknown areas with a couple friends. If I am going to do this, I wan't to have some sort of roll protection and also be able to manouver through the bush as easily as I can now without the rollbar on. Getting through the bush and low areas is a must and the rollbar will stop me.

If it has to be there, i need it shorter and narrower. Any help is welcomed.
