Hi all. I have an 86 Argo 6X6 with a techumseh 18HP thumper in it. I want to put a winch on the beast but Argo no longer sells a winch mount kit for a machine this old. Does anyone out there have any experience in fabricating a winch mount for an old Argo, or are any pictures/drawings available? Thanks for any help. |

Hello
I see no response to the winch question he has. I too am looking for a winch solution for my 82 Argo 6X6. Does anyone know the year range for the winch mount that fits the Argo units? Will a 78 fit on a 89? You know that kind of range. Thank you for any help I get.

I think you will need something out of that era of ARGO, I do know the Conquest and response mounts are different

Dave I will keep it in mind. I asked for fitment since a local atv wrecker has two units he is parting out. He does not have a clue about the units and they have sat in his yard a long time. One may have a mount I can use.

Could you just install the a steel plate on front side and back side of the body, like max does? Then bolt winch on it? |
