There has to be a problem with the mount or the battery size in my opinion.

It's a 12 volt but I'm not shure of the amps. I will be at the machine tomorrow and find out. And yes this going back and forth between sites is no fun. WFO if you would have played nice with moderator bob this would be a lot easier. LOL

Delduck I thrash hell out of my Max II across plowed fields, through the timber deer hunting, and over tons of deadfall, my battery has been going strong for almost a year.

Do you have a voltmeter to check the battery? If not get one. Is the alternator charging it?
Disconnect the cables on the battery & if it stays running the alternator is working. If it dies then it's probably the alternator & that could cause it to drain your battery.

Thanks for all the ideas one thing I failed to mention and just thought about was we do use a solar charger on it. It's from tractor supply, now after reading some posts I'm wondering if it's hurting the batt instead of helping. It wasn't a cheap one it's about $125.00 and has a so called batt regulator on it.

normally use a solar charger for one day a week. the charge should last quite awhile. overcharging is probably the problem

The Gila Monsters battery is 4 yrs. old .
and so is Godzilla's.
When I know that a car might sit for a while, I
disconnect both battery cables.
