My Max II with a B&S Vanguard engine will run great, but then start acting up and finally quit. Later it will start up again. Is the gas cap for a Max II vented? If so, I'm assuming the vent on mine is clogged. Any procedure for clearing it? Thanks!

My trailer did this while loading my max II. Wondering if this is bad and what the proper fix is?

is it a shaving off of the hull?
