I just bought a used 6 wheeler and the owner was not sure of the make. I found a picture from Pete Cagle( Rt 66 restorations) on a restoration of his machine. It looks like what I have.He calls it a Baby Beast.Does anyone have any info on it or any other advice. Its rough but most things work, motor has been replaced with a 18hp Honda. Don't understand how to get it in reverse. Will have a photo by next week. Thanks

It is a Hustler, you can find most every part easily. To get into reverse try rocking (wiggling)the sticks back and forth,it should go right in.

Thanks for the reply, I discovered the reverse linkage is missing, If I move the selector by hand it goes right in. Any idea if this reverse linkage used a cable or what??

I thought the forward and reverse were the same rods.I think to engage forward on the max you pull up on the shift lever between your legs, and push down for reverse.Either way I am pretty sure it is the same rods. Hope this helps. You may get more responses at the other 6x6 site.I wont name it,but is the only other 6x6 site, and has a huge following.
