I just bought a max II, I must have bounced too hard over some rocks and broke a jack shaft adjuster. I have removed the chains, removed the cotter pins from the jack shaft, and removed the carriage bolts from the adjuster plates. How in the **** do you get the jack shaft out! HELP!!!

sorry I have not sean this posting sooner,
you likely have it apart by now, but..
you must remove your battery and slide the plates to the position where they line up with the hole into battery compartment to get the shaft out.
that's if your jack shaft it's self is not damaged.
if the shaft is bent all bets are off. you then have only one choice.
and that's to cut the shaft with a saws-all,
you can easily make a new shaft with 3/4 cold rolled or buy one from Mr.Clark here on route6x6 along with the adjuster plate.
or weld a new bolt to your old one maybe as I have done.
