when driving my max after awhile it does not want to stop moving like it is stuck in gear I bought it new about 15 or 20 years ago.what is wrong

Maybe the belt is a little tight? That is the only thing I can think of that would do that. Any recent work done?

no nothing lately but i am thinking that it might be the clutch not opening all the way up. after I rev it up it will stop have it in the maybe the spring has gotten week.

If the engine is not idleing slow enough the clutch will not fully disengage.
