does anyone no how to get steel pins out of tracks that have been in sea water and have rusted in and also of anyway of fitting rubber blocks to stop wear of the tacks and give better traction on roads

Ellam I have tracks on my Argo 8x8, the steel pins do rust making the pins almost impossible to remove. Everything I work on anything on my Argo, I spray PB Blaster on all pins that I can get too, This seems to slow the rusting down.

perhaps spray on yours and drive machine, which should warm pins up, then keep spraying, maybe you can them drive a pin out. Other wise I guess you will have to cut the pins and drive out smaller pieces Dave

made a jig like a big chain link extracter and some different bits to start the pin of and then used an old pin cut to different lenths to push them out the rest of the way ,did this on all 70 pin at about 20mins a pin any way all out now what a job going to put stainless in this time
