I'd like to thank the guy at RI who designed the Max such that the seat belt can slip between the seats and dangle into the chains. just brilliant. that is exactly how I wanted to spend my day! thankfully, the only thing damaged was the seatbelt, so I suppose it could have been a lot worse...

I had a Max, really liked the way it drove, my seat belts were chewed up too. I went to Autozone and bought some dunebuggy seat belts. I attached them to the roll bar. Dave

I clip mine around the rollbar for just that reason. The designer definitely didn't think that all the way through.

I would think that they would address the issue for liability reasons.
