Anyone else have any transmission troubles with their Avenger? I bought my 07 Avenger new on 1-4-2007 it only has 161 hours on it. It has had a pretty easy life and is very well maintained. Two nites ago I had it jump out of low gear and grind like hell. I put it back in gear but would jump out as soon as you put a load on it so I had to hold it in gear all the way home. Even though it only has 161 hours on the meter, the warranty on the transmission is only good for 1 year after the purchase date so I'm screwed. I was alone with about 50 lbs. of gear. I was going in a straight line going up a very mild slope in low gear, rubber tracks on. I'm glad I made it out as it was late, below zero and lots of snow----not good. I can't believe the tranny failed. I'm not impressed.

Just a guess, but sounds like something spring loaded that has let go and won't keep the gears alined and in proper position. How about High gear or Reverse?

My 07 Frontier 650 had tranny problems @ 20 hours, it got stuck in HI gear and would not shift out. My dealer put in a brand new transmission (no charge/under warranty) and I believe the old tranny was sent back to Argo for research/development. No problems since and I have about 21 hours on the new tranny.

Phil thanks for the post, I hope you enjoy your Avenger as much as I do. I just called ODG and talked to "Terry". Terry said he will get the upgraded parts to me free of charge. Thankyou Terry. Customer service after the sale is hard to find with alot of products. ODG stands behind their product. Buy your Argo with confidence (and a big smile) You will be taken care of. Brad
