I would like to know if a 18hp briggs will fit in to a 16hp 76 to 80s argo body.thank you ken.

I did a conversion from a old two cycle machine, installed a vanguard, you will have to do a bit or work on front of body, but you must get the correct engine, i bought the wrong one first and ended up selling it and buying a correct one. Be careful what you buy, ebay is not a good source, people there will tell you anything and sell you something odd Good luck

Thank you Jeff. The motor I am looking at is 18hp Briggs and it sells for $1299.00 Can., serial# 356447-0075-E1. I'm not sure what year but I have a pic that I sent too Dave Keeso in another post under same topic if you want to take a look at it. Everything is re-built, also I have a drive clutch brake if someone is interested. (it stops the gear grinding)Thanks again.
