I have to replace the alternator belt on my 2002 conquest. I can see where it goes, but can't get my hand in. I know I will have to remove the battery. any other hints would be appreciated.

Well now the job is done I have a few hints for the next guy. The retainer bolt for the adjuster block is only visible with a mirror. It turns out the only wrench I had that would fit was 13mm from my small socket set. The pivot bolt was completely inaccessable but I was able to loosen the adjuster screw and pull the pulley towards me using another belt. The adjuster screw can only be tightened or loosened with a stubby Philips head
