I'm wondering if anyone has tried fabbing up an outboard motor mount on a Max II.I have seen motors on them in pictures.Any comments or info would be well appreciated.

Eldon, I had one in for service that had a very clever engine mount. It mounted to the cargo rail and along the small shelf where the upper body overlaps the lower tub in the back. No hole or permanent modification was made. The mount was made of wood. It had a couple of 2x4 with u bolts that clamped to the cargo rack. Then the boards went to the rear and had a couple of l shaped brackets and two 2 x4 that went down to another 2x4. between the two was a piece of 1.5 by 8 board. He said he used a Briggs and Stratton 4 stroke and just reached back to run the tiller. Ibet he had less than $10 in the mount.

Thanks Jerry. In between posting and reading your reply I was looking at mine and I was looking over the cargo rails as a possible place to start.I'm thinking of trying a 1-2 hp 2-stroke if I can find one.
