We have two Attexs. One is a 440 Thunderchief and the other is a 500 Superchief Little Truck.

We will be selling one (a hard thing to do I know!).

At first consideration, I feel it is better for me to keep the Little Truck (newer poly type body etc, mind you the abs plastic on the Thunderchief is painted silver). However, I would like to put the JLO engine in the Little Truck (I hate the Chaparall engine) and swap any other component that people would recomend.

I plan to invest a few months into servicing and rebuilding the machine just to get it right.

I REALLY want to fit CDI to the JLO. Not sure how or if it is possible. There is a company in Beaufort, SC that sells the Cuyuna 2-stroke engines with CDIs and these look identical to a JLO. I have contacted the company, but they seem to be rude and will not respond to my inquiries.

Any thoughts and advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Steve C. Check this site. It has everything you need to convert your motor to a cdi ignition.
