Just out of curiosity here. I swapped to these good Silver Star head lights on my truck, and then put them on my jeep too. On the truck the swap was just a bulb swap, but the jeep was the entire unit (big bulb). Anyone know if you can swap the bulbs on an Argo or MAX to a Silver Star, it would make one heck of a difference in night rides. I was initially skeptical, but when I swapped the 1st one on the truck I left the old one in on one side and drove around for a minute to see the difference, it was pretty profound. Like I said, just curiousity talking. Anyone got any ideas?

I'd be a bit leery putting that size bulb in the small housing, little bit too much heat, and, the current draw might be a bit too much also.

Edward, I with Erich too, most of the Vanguard engines in our machines have a 16 amp charging system. those lights will use a lot of power.
There is a 20 amp system available, but you would have to change stator and voltage regulator. Dave

Ok, like I said, just curiousity. You'd think that they would make them for it, that worked drawing less power. I was beating this idea around and remembered that my son switched the light on his Hybusa to this type in the fall. I'll have to see what that bike is producing, and the bulb is pulling power-wise. Thanks for the response, I am learning. If I am going to buy an Argo then I need to get my head around how it works and is engineered.
