has anyone used the spring loaded shifting linkage for a max iv and did it help |

Yes they do help. They allow you to get one side engaged and then when the machine starts to move the other side will drop in, instead of manually trying to get both sides engaged. Just adjust the piece so it isn't putting any pressure into the shift group when it is in gear. |

IS it the same one that is sold by Richard's Relics or does Recreative Industries make one. |

It is the one sold by Richard. It is an aftermarket piece not sold by Recreatives. |

Anyway they do help if you are having difficulty lining up both sides and getting the machine to go into gear. |
