I need help.

I bought a Scrambler, Model 1000 Serial 517.1
What year is this does anyone know?

It needs working on. The owner ran it to the ground. It looks in decent shape. I just want to get it running during the winter so i can use it
this summer.

1. Where can i find a manual? / How do i know how to fix this if i dont know the specifications / Where can i find the specification? / Does anyone know the specifications?

2. There is holes in the fiberglass... How do i fix the fiberglass?

3.Is this thing worth anything ? is this thing work like they say? ? Is it fun to ride/ drive?

Brad
Welcome to the boards.Try Richard's Shoppe section on this site's homepage for the manual.Try the for sale section and you might find something similar that would give you an idea of its worth. If you can get it running and operating and it isn't to expensive to do it,then its worth a lot.Now for the biggest, yet probably the most easily resolved of your problems:the holes in the glass. At most any home center such as Lowes or Home Depot or even Wal Mart you can find fiberglass mat and resin to fix your holes. The directions will be on the cans,I never liked the putty type, always got better results with the ones where you mixed the resin and applied it alternatively in layers,resin-fiber mat-resin and so on until your holes are filled.I like to use those cheap paint brushes to apply resin and work out air bubbles as I go.Be sure you have plenty of them on hand because the more hardener you add to the resin the faster it sets. Watch out for needles that form when resin hardens on stray fibers they can be sharp- eeyyoww!Don't worry if you mess up a little it's fiberglass:if you don't like something sand it out and start over.Wear protective gear(especially dust mask)because the dust WILL make you ITCH. Once you have built up the thickness then sand it smooth prime and paint.Hope this helps.G
