lookin for mods that owners/readers have made to their machines (electrical upgrades, roll bars, snow plow and brackets, cabins/covers, cargo carriers, pontoons etc) but find it hard to get to those details via "search". Check this out:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MAX-IV-AMPHIBIOUS-6-WHEEL-DRIVE-ATV_W0QQcmdZV iewItemQQcategoryZ6726QQihZ015QQitemZ250142164051QQrdZ1
Look at the alternator set-up and 12 V battery. Now that's something we can use for all kinds of goodies + trolling motor. But the critical dims for pulley, distances etc, would be great to have. Just one example. Look at the machine ( 2002 MAX IV 900t) for sell at Richard's by Terry Harrison with that great stuff he made! Can we get plans and dims posted of all that talent out there? I am so exited to see what so many folks come up with to modify their machines, make them better or adapt them to specific purposes. This is stuff to be shared rather then being forgotten. What say all of you? A new headline, maybe: "Owner mods" with subtitles covering the particular mods. Or is there something of the sort already on/in these boards and I'm just to new to know my way around? Klaus

Klaus,it's all in here you just have to dig deep.I myself had some mods. along with other folks but it all got mixed in.So many people made thier machine application specific, the list goes on and on.Your right it never went under a mod. post.I guess you just have to post what you want to do and the tips will come flying in.One guy even made a skid steer barge to tranverse a small lake to take mat'l to a island he bought.

Dennis,
I thought that a good amount of knowledge and mods must be "hidden" in these pages. Just by reading the posts it is obvious that we have some rather engenious and knowledgeable folks participating here. I am extremely thankful for their contributions. Have been literally "studying" the posts off and on since mid 2004. That made me, finally, buy a MAX IV in 2005. No regrets here. Was trying to find "electrical mods", "2nd battery", for example. Got a lot of "hits" but nothing
specific. What's the mods you posted, Dennis? And what's the search words to find them?
