Here is a way to remotely control your trolling motor(s). It is simple and cheap to build. All parts are available at your local auto part recycler. I build one years ago before remote control of trolling motors was invented. I used it for fishing with a rocker foot switch. I thought an illustration was better than trying to describe it verbally. A picture is still worth a 1000 words. The file size is limited to 100k, if you want more resolution please email me.

Happy Easter

Hey Ray- Good Idea. Much cheaper than buying a "factory" foot operated controller for a bow mount. One critism though, in the fine print it seems to say that I can steer manually in a dead battery emergency???? At that point what am I steering? Forgive me Ray, Maybe I need more sugar. Keep working on the water propulsion system. I want to see people's reaction when a few of us go through a busy lock on the Trent Severn waterway! W. Philip Cox

Hi Philip, haha, maybe I need some sugar, ya steering what. But I am determined to build a water propulsion system, that could go through the Trent. We really do need something better than tires. But those new Frontier tires are the best I've seen. Went to the local Argo dealer and watched him demo them, against some bad chop and wind he had no problem. Impressive.
