I know there has been a lot of comments on tracks installed on a Max ( II or IV ). I installed True-Trax on my Max II about a month ago and so far have been satisfied. Around here, In Mid-Michigan(middle part of the lower peninsula), we had snow on the ground before the ground froze and that spelled out trouble for us woodgetters or the ones that are behind in getting there wood like ME! I have a 4 wheel drive truck and have it stuck a few times...in comes the MaxII with Tru-Trax. I have a large Otter sled that I pull behind the Max II and can pull out a large load to my "staging area" where the ground is stable for my 4 x 4 to pick up. You can't beat that "large foot print" to get you over the soft ground. When traveling over deep snow, I've found out that is better to take off slowly, so as not to dig into the snow, and sorta float across the snow as you gain your footing. The only thing I would complain about is that my Max with Tru-Trax won't fit on my trailer anymore!

How deep of snow have you gone threw, how well does it do in powder snow verse paking snowball snow.I have tru tracks on my buffalo and I need wider more seft cleaning track,I think rubber is the deal there but I think I will try to make them I dont want to spend 35000 on a 11 year old machine. So I was thinking of may be getting a not too old max 2 like a 1992 and up and put the tru tracks on that?
