HI guys. I am having a heck of a time getting my tranny back together. I had to replace a gear in the tranny.I am having trouble with that small idler shaft. I Just about get it together and the shaft slips and I cannot get the clip on the end of the shaft. Is there any little trick to keep this shaft from moving? Hope someone can help me out. Thanks Ernie

Mount the trans securely I clamped it in a vice I just went slowly,carefully,check everything and it went together.
