I am looking at buy a hustler with everything but a motor plus a spare hustler for parts and it is a spare at that. 500.00 For both. Anyway i was wondering can the plastic type body be repaired. The hustler i am looking at has a couple small cracks on the top half. Wondering if those can be repaired Tony. |

If they are HDPE they can be repaired. There are several sources of information on how to do it on the web. The best way to get information is to do a search for hdpe kayak or canoe repair. There are several full length sites with step by step instructions on filling cracks to patching holes. Here is a link to get you started http://www.mv.com/users/morris/paddling/boat-repair.html |

you can weld polyethylene with a soldering iron. i used the back of a spoon to quick cool the polyethylene as i went. so go ahead and get them because repairs are easy enough. if you still feel you need some strength behind your welds just pop rivet some aluminum in there for strength. |
