Has anyone had any trouble with there Argo
transmissions. My 04 response seems to have a knock.
I only have 170 hours on it! I was told it would be unlikly.

Jack it up suspend all tires. Put the transmission in gear turn the tires and listen for the noise, if you can't here it start it put in low gear run slow in forward and in reverse. See if this will isolate the noise |

Might check the engine clutch for the noise. Mine failed, and I replaced it. While it was off, I ran the engine several times, noticed how quiet the engine was. Bolted the new clutch on, and immediately noticed a knocking noise at idle. Was the clutch, but normal operating clearances in the moving parts would make noise with each power stroke.
Another thing is the brake pads clicking in the calipers as they pass over the hole in each rotor. |

I have pretty much isolated it to the transmission or chains. And mainly in low gear. The brake pads do click, and the clutch is quite. It is definnatly up front somewhere. I removed the belt and it goes away. My dealer says nothing is wrong? |

If your belt is worn out it will vibrate when you engage, check to see how far the belt rests in the large or driven clutch, if it is more then 1/4 to 1/2 inch put on a new belt |
