When I move the left stick, the linkage moves lever under caliper but the caliper doesnt move the pads(pucks). Does anybody know how to take the caliper off to examine it without pulling the whole tranny frame out? Or a link to a place that may help. Thank you. |

maybe the pads are to far worn, you cant get the calepers out without pulling the trany out compkeatly becaus they are held in with pins threw the sides of trany down near the inside of hull, when you pull the trany out on the sides you will find 2 allen plugs with allen bolts inside them wich ar the pins your caliperes are on,
there are 2 pins on each side of trany that hold there respective calipers, or you can pull out uper half of trany to try and see inside the calipers, to reasemble when you think you have the pads moveing ok you will need to hold the pads in place and apart with a little cardboard or something just till the discs are between the pads to keep them in, then remove the cardboard and resume bolting down the trany's top.
while at it put in an extra belt!
wire tie it out of your way and some day down the road if you need it it will be easyer to just cut wire ties than tear down the trany to put in a new belt.
it will impress people too! |

Thanks David and great tip.
The shaft that goes into caliper and moves piston back and forth broke. Please someone tell me they have one laying around to sell me!!!
I just bought this attex and really need to drive it. My old amphicat project with lawntractor rear didnt hold up and have only driven this about 20 min without any right hand turns. Including 15-20mph into a tree. @#$%@#% Anyways if anybody has one let me know. It is the right side. Whole caliper considered 4-by-4@sbcglobal.net Already sent richard email so maybe he has one but let me know incase. Thank |

make sure the arms are in the exact center to insert tranny into calipers <found>
cardboard is a good help |
