When I bought my 2001 Argo bigfoot, I worked with one dealer. We negotiated back and forth a little and settled at a little over $9,500.00. They threw in the back hand rails, a cover and for another $50.00 a winch kit. I have used them until they sold the business. My point is if you stick with the same dealer, you should get a decient deal although Argo's and accesories can be quite pricey. I have had my bigfoot for about four years and would not trade it for anything, well maybe a new bigfoot.. haha. I use it for everything from picking the kids up at the bus stop to riding into the woods and loading the back seat full of wood for the fireplace.

Meredith,

It depends upon which machine your asking a price on. A 2005 6x6 Bigfoot has a different price than a 2006 6x6 Bigfoot. Prices are always on the rise due to higher materials costs, shipping costs, inflation, etc...so this will always affect costs of new machines as compared to older machines. A Dealer may have a brand new 1999 Bigfoot in stock, but when compared to a 2006 model, it should show a lower price, because it is an older year machine.

Basically meaning, all machines are produced during each year, and each new year almost always has a new pricing schedule, because of inflation. It's not the Dealers fault. Be sure what year vehicle you are asking about. The price changes being given, maybe because the Dealer is giving pricing on an older year unit as compared to a newer year unit. To see this for yourself, just ask your Dealer what price is on the same unit, but from different years produced. It all depends on what they have in stock.

Accessory prices change from year to year production as well, because of the same reasons.

Another thing you need to know about is when you are asking a price for a certain machine, is that machine strictly a stock machine, or are there accessories already attached?
This will rise the price as well, because the Dealer has to make his money back on everything that they installed on a stock machine, and usually this will not include the labor costs of installation of those accessories. Dealers don't get accessories for free. They pay out for each accessory they keep in Stock.
The Dealer I have, charges $40/hr. in the installation of any accessory, and that does not include the accessory's price.

When I bought my '05 6x6 Bigfoot, my Dealer asked me what accessories I wanted, if any at the time, and pointed out which accessories were very important ones to have for safety reasons. So along with my Bigfoot, I ordered a Ramsey Remote Winch, a Bilge Pump, an extra 12V Power Point, and a tail-light kit. He told me total pricing, + the amount he would have to charge in order to mount the accessories. I told him he didn't have to mount them as I have a full shop and could do it myself as long as the kits came with instructions, which they all do.

One has to remember, there are many questions which should be asked of the Dealer when getting pricing details.
What year model is it?
Any Accessories already installed on that unit?
Does the unit have a camo color scheme? If so, the cost will go up. Pricing on all basic colors should show no difference in price, but a camo colored unit will have a higher price difference.
What Gear package comes on that model?
Is this a basic stock model?

Hope this info helps you out!
