Howdy. I'm pretty new to 6x6s but not to cars, motorcycles, or quads.

I'm arranging to buy an Amphicat. It's in pieces but all of the components seem to be there and in good shape. Has been stored indoors also. And it comes with manuals. The motor is a single cylinders Sachs (german?) with electric start. I couldn't find much info or decent photos in the route6x6 museum and nothing really in any other part of the internet. Where are they from? How long where they made? Are the common? Richard said that he has plenty of Amphicat parts.

And any other little facts I should know? I should be picking it up within 2 weeks (I've sent a decent deposit). I'll be back here more than a few times in the "restoration" of this beast.
