My neighbor brought his daughter's maxII over for me to look at. She got a good jolt when she turned it off. where should I begin checking for shorts, and does anybody have a wiring diagram for these models? This one has the tecumseh 16 HP motor.

my Attex has a 16 hp Tecumseh, and it shocks me something fierce, worse when it gets wet. I put about 50 ground wires on the engine, starter, frame, etc...and it still shocked me. So I wrapped the key with rubber... all set, no more shocks.

heh heh heh, i wrote yesterday but got an error mesage so decided to try again today,
i wrote:
aaah the good ol days when i used electricle tape on my key, heh heh
i found that my metal cased starter switch needed a ground wire,
it is the starter swich/light switch/engin ignition kill switch, that should be grounded,
it grounds out your magnito to kill your engine,
or ignition system.
in duel cylinder 2 stroks it shorts the 2 cylinders together to kill engine,
so now you have 2 posable remidys,
i just have to laugh thoue that another person wrote about treating the key insted of problem,LOL
